TALENT AND INSPIRATION DRAWN FROM ITS TRADITION
KABAKOUDOU is a native of Maritime Guinea where he grew up. This
region of Guinea-Conakry is the holder of a traditional diversity
which, in a way, constitutes the language of the social life
that exists there.
In this part of Guinea, humor is the translator of several
facts; this is why proverbs are widely used
in social communication. Entertainment is the culmination
of actions. The populations of Maritime Guinea are very fond
of life in symbiosis and entertainment. For this social entity, life
is synonymous with love and solidarity towards one’s neighbor. Even if art, as a professional activity, is intended to be able to
make the artist live, it must be said that at the base, KABAKOUDOU’s desire
was to be able to create joy around him and also contribute to
improving the social situation by denouncing the defects that
were prevalent among the population. For him, people who
had developed bad morality within them should be made aware
for the benefit of living harmoniously in society.
KABAKOUDOU is also greatly invested in promoting the
cultural and artistic values of his geographical area. Identity
being what defines a community, a social environment and even a
country, he considered it necessary that his talent should also serve to promote the
traditional and artistic practices of his region. This remains quite
visible in the restitution of his art.
KABAKOUDOU’s cinematographic works are numerous and,
start well before his discovery on the small screen (television). In fact, these are several sketches that had been made
with paltry means and whose technical restitutions were not
quite up to scratch.
However, when he began to have access to much more professional
means, KABAKOUDOU made several sketches that amount to around ……..(….). Along the way, he also associated
music with his great experience in comedy.
This is how the albums “KANKÉFODÉ” and “TAMOULA” were
released on ……. and ………… respectively
KABAKOUDOU’s talent and inspiration are such that many other works are
in the process of being produced, especially since he now
has a House of cinematographic and musical productions. He intends to better embody the current realities that his country presents on a social and cultural level in order to offer increasingly relevant works that should even be able to cross Guinean borders.
STAGE EXPERIENCE
Since his revelation to the general public in 1995, KABAKOUDOU has been one
of the most sought-after artistic figures in Guinea. He has made
humor in his country an essential tool for mobilization,
entertainment and awareness.
There are few shows, ceremonies or large-scale events to which he is not invited. His presence has always
contributed to the success of an action to mobilize the public in an
entertainment context.
However, it should be noted that KABAKOUDOU has toured Guinea several times, with more than ten (10)
national tours in which he is the headliner, not to mention those for which he remains a major guest.
Outside of Guinea, he has also been able to tour Europe four (04) times, including the sub-region, where he has been invited several times to share the stage with his high-level colleagues. This is also what explains his proximity to several renowned African actors.
KABAKOUDOU’S AMBITIONS
Given the level he has reached and the seriousness he shows in the world
of culture, there is no doubt that KABAKOUDOU intends to leave his name internationally in the history of humor.
Everything is visible since his revelation to the Guinean public. Indeed,
KABAKOUDOU has never stopped working to be what he represents to this
day for Guinea, that is to say a true ambassador of Guinean humor. Certainly the conquest of his country is a determining factor
for an artist, but it should only serve as a springboard to assert oneself in
his continent and, throughout the world. This is in fact what will represent the
true desired value. This is why KABAKOUDOU is organizing and
working hard to not only serve as a reference for rising generations,
but above all, to better display the image of his country, Guinea,
on the world stage.
Already, through the establishment of his Label “KABAKOUDOU
KALÉMATA BUSINESS”, several artists, actors and singers are in
the production phase, not to mention the creation of his own works
which should soon see the light of day in consolidation with those already available
on the cultural market.
In addition, he intends to build partnerships with other international reference
structures and institutions with which he can initiate events and awareness programs for the
good of Guinean culture and the progress of his country in general. In this
sense, he is studying an action plan on which he will rely to carry out
these first ambitions that he has developed for his career.
